The other day I was fortunate and honored to be asked by a friend to help setup a fan page on Facebook for a remarkable young lady named Mandy.  Mandy is 8 years old and was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) on Oct. 23, 2001, her first birthday. She was diagnosed with a bilateral Optic Gliomas on Feb. 18, 2008. This malignant diagnosis prompted her starting chemotherapy. She also has a several tumors in the ventricle areas and brain stem that are beliveved to be benign, but cause problems by taking up space in a very vital area.  You can read her story here:  Mandy’s Journal.

Recently Mandy and Poodle entered the Cutest Dog Competition. It would really make her wish come true if her beautiful Standard Poodle Electra aka “Poodle” would win.  Mandy’s plea has won the hearts of many and she has had overwhelming support in her quest.  As of right now I believe she is in second place behind a Beagle.  I am pleading with everyone to PLEASE go and vote!  It would be greatly appreciated and would make Mandy smile as she is keeping track of the rising numbers.
